White Bear Lake lost its Suburban East Conference opener to Roseville Area 5-2 at home on Saturday. Scoring for the Bears (1-2) were freshman Amanda Smythe, on a power play, assisted by Tally Domschot and Maddy Belisle, and seventh-grader Kendall Roeser, with a perfectly located corner shot, off a face-off, assisted by Elaina Hosfeld. Roseville (3-1) outshot the Bears 48-15 and Kate Haug had three goals. Maya Marston stopped 43 Raider shots.
