I recently read Senator Roger Chamberlain’s misleading column, entitled “The Great Mystery- End of 2022 Legislative Session.” As the lead DFLer on the Senate Education Committee, I’d like to set the record straight. Minnesotans deserve transparency and accountability - especially when it comes to supporting our children and their education.

When two years of a global pandemic upended our schools, we needed to act to get them back on track. With a historic $9.25 billion budget surplus, we had a remarkable opportunity to help our students in recovering from disruption and succeeding in the future.
