Equine-assisted therapy

Acres for Life Chief Development Officer and Equine Trainer Sally Mixon and Equine Specialist Carrie Evens visit with “Rebel,” a retired mounted patrol horse from St. Paul. While on the job he suffered a career ending injury and could no longer carry a rider and is now the leader of the herd of therapy animals at the farm. Mixon describes him as absolutely amazing, extremely wise, gentle animal who does amazing work for people struggling with trauma.
