Members of the White Bear Lake American Legion and VFW Honor Guard raise the American flag at the Soldiers Memorial. After months of fundraising by the White Bear Lake Lions Foundation, the 12x16-foot flag was unfurled and hoisted to the top of an 80-foot flagpole at 11 a.m. on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The re-dedication date was selected in honor of Armistice Day, 1918, which marked the end of World War I. — Submitted
