The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department reported the following incidents: 

• Officers responded to a theft report from a business located in the 6400 block of Lakota Trail Jan. 24. The investigation is ongoing.

• Officers received a report of fraudulent checks at a local business in the 8000 block of Lake Drive Jan. 24. Officers documented the incident and are working with the business on the next steps.

• Officers responded to a property damage crash involving a vehicle that struck a house in the 400 block of Ash Street Jan. 24. There were no injuries and damage to the house was minimal. Damage to the vehicle involved was moderate.

• Officers received a report regarding an assault that occurred in the 1500 block of Ash Street Jan. 24. A male was subsequently issued a citation for fifth-degree assault.

• Officers responded to a report of a stalled vehicle in a traffic lane in the 2000 block of Ash Street Jan. 24. Officers located the vehicle and while on scene, the driver returned with gas. The officer helped the driver put gas in the vehicle.

• An officer investigated suspicious activity at a closed business in the 7800 block of Lake Drive. Police found two men asleep inside. The investigation is ongoing.

• Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 7800 block of Lake Drive Jan. 25. There were no injuries, and the officer cited one of the drivers for duty to drive with due care-speed greater than reasonable.

• Officers responded along with fire staff to a report of a fire alarm with water flow at a business in the 800 block of Birch Street Jan. 25. It was found that a sprinkler was activated due to a pan on a stovetop that caught fire. Public safety personnel assisted with clearing the smoke and initial water cleanup.

• Officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 1400 block of Woodland Drive Jan. 25. The person was located and, after an investigation, the male subject was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

• An officer observed a vehicle lose control, cross through the center median and strike another vehicle in the 7900 block of I-35E Jan. 26. There were minor injuries, but all involved declined to be transported to the hospital. Both vehicles were towed and the occupants were transported from the scene.

• Officers responded to a shoplifting incident in progress at a business located in the 700 block of Apollo Drive Jan. 26. The suspects left prior to officers’ arrival, and the case is currently under investigation.

• Officers received a phone call from a resident in the 7400 block of Main Street regarding possible injured birds on a lake Jan. 27. Officers contacted the local DNR conservation officer, who handled the call.

• An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated driver in the 7100 block of Otter Lake Road Jan. 28. A male was later arrested for second-degree DWI and booked into jail.

• An officer responded to a hit-and-run property damage accident that occurred in the 600 block of Town Center Parkway Jan. 28. After a brief investigation, the officer located the male driver at a nearby business and obtained the driver's insurance information for the report and repairs.

• Officers observed two vehicles driving in a careless manner on a frozen lake in the 7400 block of Main Street Jan. 28. The officers investigated and notified the juveniles' parents of the incident.

 

The Centennial Lakes Police Department reported the following incidents: 

• Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lake Drive and Civic Heights Drive in Circle Pines Jan. 23. The male driver was subsequently arrested for controlled substance. 

• Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Patriot Lane in Lexington Jan. 23 on report of a property damage hit-and-run. The incident involved a trailer home and a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was not located, and the investigation is ongoing. 

• Officers were dispatched to the area of Lexington Avenue and Village Parkway in Lexington Jan. 23 on a property damage report. There were no injuries. 

• A traffic stop was conducted in the 8900 block of Naples Street in Lexington Jan. 24. A female was subsequently arrested and transported to jail for a stolen car. 

• Police responded to a damage to property report in the 300 block of Baldwin Drive in Circle Pines Jan. 24. The caller advised they had two tires slashed overnight by an unknown suspect. The estimated damage was $700. 

• Police were dispatched to a property damage accident in the area of Woodland Road and Griggs Avenue in Lexington Jan. 24. There were no injuries. 

• An adult male was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 8900 block of Naples Street in Lexington Jan. 24. 

• Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 10 block of West Golden Lake Drive in Circle Pines Jan. 24. The vehicle involved in the accident was towed from the scene and the juvenile driver was cited for a traffic violation. 

• Police responded to the area of Inner Road and East Drive in Circle Pines Jan. 25 on report of a school bus versus passenger car accident. There were no injuries. 

• Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Minuteman Lane in Lexington Jan. 25 on a harassment report. Officers helped to mediate the situation. 

• Police mediated a civil dispute in the 200 block of Heritage Lane in Circle Pines Jan. 25. 

• Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 9100 block of Hamline Avenue in Lexington Jan. 25. A male was subsequently arrested and booked into jail. 

• Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lake Drive and Albert Avenue in Lexington Jan. 25. Officers searched the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana. The driver was cited and released. 

• Police responded to the area of North Road and Park Drive W. in Circle Pines Jan. 26 on report of an assault. Officers were unable to locate the suspect and the victim refused to be transported to the hospital by ambulance. The case is pending further investigation. 

• A property damage hit-and-run was reported in the area of Flowerfield Road and Lexington Avenue in Lexington Jan. 26. The investigation is ongoing. 

• Officers were dispatched to Lake Drive and Firebarn Road in Circle Pines Jan. 27 on report of a property damage accident involving one vehicle and a power pole. 

• An adult male was cited for driving in violation of a limited license, possession of drug paraphernalia and following too closely in the area of Lake Drive and Albert Avenue in Lexington Jan. 28. 

• Officers took a phone call in regards to a theft from a vehicle parked in the 8900 block of Syndicate Avenue in Lexington Jan. 28. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

• Officers were dispatched to a phone call report of a property damage accident in the 7100 block of Mill Road in Centerville Jan. 28. Officers took information about a mailbox that was struck by a unknown vehicle. 

• Police took a delayed property damage accident report Jan. 28. Officers were advised by phone that a property damage accident had occurred in the area of LaMotte Park in Centerville. A vehicle was damaged while parked near the park.
