The Lino Lakes Police Department reported the following incidents:

•An officer located two suspicious vehicles parked in the lot of a closed business in the 700 block of Apollo Drive July 27. The officer made contact with two people sleeping in the vehicle. According to the people, they had car trouble and were waiting on a tow truck. There were no apparent problems.

•An officer found an open door at a business and stopped to investigate in the 7800 block of Lake Drive July 27. The officer determined the business owner had forgotten to close the door.

•A community service officer responded to a call for service regarding found mail from another county with addresses in Lino Lakes in the 600 block of Town Century Parkway July 27. The investigation is ongoing.

•An officer responded to a residence to stand by while a leased vehicle was towed because of a breach of a civil agreement in the 400 block of Arrowhead Drive July 27. The officers stood by while the vehicle was loaded. There were no problems.

•An officer investigated a report of possible criminal sexual conduct in the 200 block of Plum Lane July 27. Following an investigation, the officer determined there was insufficient evidence for criminal charges.

•An officer was dispatched to a report of an order of protection violation in the 1400 block of Sherman Lake Road July 27. The officer forwarded the report to the city attorney to have a warrant issued.

•An officer spoke with a citizen regarding a driving complaint in a neighborhood in the 800 block of Fox Road July 27. The caller was advised extra patrol was being conducted in the area.

•An officer responded to a two-vehicle property damage crash in the 100 block of Sunset Avenue July 27. One vehicle was towed and a state crash report was completed.

•Officers responded to report of a theft from motor vehicle in the 500 block of Apollo Drive July 27. The officers located the suspect, who had a warrant for their arrest. The suspect was taken into custody on the warrant and for the theft. The victim's stolen property was recovered and returned.

•While on patrol, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and found the driver did not have a license in the 200 block of Ash Street July 28. After an investigation, the driver was arrested and booked at jail for multiple offenses.

•An officer responded to a report of a shoplifting incident at a local business in the 700 block of Apollo Drive July 28. The incident is under investigation.

•An officer responded to an unoccupied residence for a suspicious vehicle report in the 6000 block of Hodgson Road July 29. The officer found a male sleeping in the vehicle. The male was ultimately trespassed from the location at the request of the owner.

•An officer took a theft from vehicle report in the 6900 block of Otter Lake Road July 30. The investigation is ongoing.

•Officers were dispatched to a local business for suspicious activity in the 6900 block of Otter Lake Road July 30. Officers arrived and found no one on the property but also discovered damage and theft from several vehicles. The business owner was notified and vehicle owners were contacted.

•An officer responded to a residence to inform the homeowner they were watering their lawn in violation of the current watering restrictions in the 6400 block of Fawn Lane July 30.

•Officers were dispatched to a likely theft in progress at a retail store in the 700 block of Apollo Drive July 30. Upon arrival, the female suspect abandoned her cart full of merchandise and left the premises.

•An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and no license plate in the 700 block of Main Street July 30. The adult male driver was arrested for DWI. The male was booked at jail for DWI and other traffic offenses.

•An officer responded to a damage to property report in the 7800 block of Lake Drive July 31. The officer documented the damage and collected evidence. The investigation is ongoing.

•A resident found what they thought were human bones in a wooded area in the 400 block of Elm Street July 31. The medical examiners office looked at photos of the bones and determined they were not human. The bones were collected to be sent to the medical examiner for final clarification.

•An officer responded to a local park where a 12 year-old was stuck in a swing in the 6900 block of Sunrise Drive July 31. The officer assisted in releasing a latch for the swing.

•An officer took a traffic complaint from a resident about a vehicle with loud exhaust and driving too fast on a residential street in the 500 block of Lois Lane July 31. The officer spoke with the driver and the complainant. The driver apologized and agreed to slow down in the neighborhood.

•An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and observed a controlled substance in plain view in the 300 block of Main Street July 31. The driver was issued a citation.

•An officer conducted a traffic stop and observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle in the 800 block of Main Street Aug. 1. The vehicle was searched and possible controlled substances were found. An investigation is ongoing.

•An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 800 block of Main Street Aug. 1. An adult male was later arrested for multiple offenses, including possession of a controlled substance, and was booked at jail.

•Officer's responded to a verbal domestic and later arrested an involved male for DWI in the 7100 block of Sunfish Court Aug. 1. The male was later booked at the jail.
