At 4:43 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department responded to a residence in the 7000 block of Rice Lake Drive for a domestic escort in which a male resident was refusing access to the home.

Upon arrival, officers heard what they believed to be gunshots coming from within the residence. A peremeiter was subsequently established and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team was requested.

Following extensive and unsuccessful efforts to make contact with the resident, officers made entry into the home and an adult male was found deceased. The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says there is no risk to the public.

The case remains under investigation by the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
