Zbigniew Alfred Wojski, “Al”, passed away on the evening of December 19, 2020, joining his beloved wife, Irene (d. 2006).  Born in Kielce, Poland in 1929, Al and his father (Jerzy) served in the Polish Resistance during WW2.  When the Russians invaded Poland, Al and his parents made their way to France, where Al met and married Irene, and had their daughter, Grazyna.

In 1957, the family immigrated to America, eventually settling in Chicago with their children, Grace, Wesley and Eddie. They enjoyed many happy years with friends in Chicago before moving to White Bear Lake, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Always a gentleman and a fun-loving spirit, Al had a wide circle of friends and touched many people. Known as “Dziadziu” by his family, he was the patriarch of an extended clan, including children Grace McNamara, Wesley (Jane) Wojski, and Edward Wojski, grandchildren Paulina, Magda and Ania McNamara, Bogusia (TJ) Lindquist, Blake (Lindsay) Wojski, Markell (Andrew) Pertz, Olivia and Truman Wojski, and great-grandchildren: Dominick, Finnigan, Liam, Eva, Adyson, Wyot, Isabella, Joey, Noah, Grace, Vivienne, George, Joshua and James.  The family would like to thank the caregivers and friends who made Al’s final years happy. Mom, we hope you’re ready for him!

A “Celebration of Life” will be planned for late Spring of 2021.
