Marylyn Anne Leonhart, age 92, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021, in California. Marylyn was born to James and Rosella McCormick on March 1, 1929 in Minot, North Dakota. Marylyn graduated from the College of St. Theresa in Winona, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. Marylyn married Charles Leonhart and raised their young family in St. Paul and Mankato before moving to White Bear Lake in 1968. A woman ahead of her time, Marylyn was a gifted pianist, and had a love for all things music and politics. However, her pride and joy were her seven children who kept her busy juggling sporting events and activities. Marylyn’s door was always open for anyone needing someone to talk with. She cherished her Minnesota summers and her California winters. She will forever be remembered by family and friends for her crystal blue eyes, infectious optimism, huge heart, joyful spirit, and genuine love for all of God’s children. 

Marylyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles; parents James and Rosella McCormick; brother Jim McCormick; sister Kay Witt and brother-in-law Jerry; sister Rosie Caticchio and brother-in-law John; sister Marcella “Sally” Morin; and great granddaughter Rose Proffit. She is survived by her children, Michele (Gene) Leonhart, Dave (Mary) Leonhart, Kathy (Paul) Runice, Laura (Keith) Williams, Paul (Julie) Leonhart, Tom (Joselyn) Leonhart, and Sally (Jim) Leonhart; grandchildren Mike, Steve, Katie, Tommy, Chantel, Brad, Jamie, Alie, Sara, Jenny, Jordan, Charlie, Taylor, and Bella; brother Denny (Sue) McCormick; brother-in-law Tom Morin; sisters-in-law Diane McCormick and Kay Leonhart; as well as 13 great grandchildren and many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, While Bear Lake. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. prior to the Mass. Private family interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements with Honsa Family Funeral Home, 651-429-6172.
