Janice Mary (O’Gorman) Fitzgerald passed away on February 22, 2019 of natural causes.

Janice was born on March 1, 1942 in White Bear Lake, MN. She relocated to California in 1970.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents Thomas James and Berniece Houle O'Gorman. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Edward Fitzgerald of San Jose, Calif.; her three children Mike, Cindy and Jean (Julia Tranchina) Herriges and Edward’s four daughters Moira (Sterling Pickering), Barbara (Jamie Mulholland), Leslie (Steven Parker) and Catie (Xavier Wartelle) Fitzgerald; her grandchildren Hector and Ramona Tranchina and Jeffrey (Amanda) Fitzgerald.  Janice was the second of nine children and is survived by her siblings Thomas (Patty) O’Gorman, Paul O’Gorman, Kathleen O’Gorman, Laurel O’Gorman, Mary (Greg) Gundy, May (Steve) Chaplin, Frank (Mary) O’Gorman and Ruth (Steve) Danielzuk, along with countless nieces and nephews. Janice had a 25-year career with the St. Paul Insurance Company. She was an avid reader and painter and always enjoyed gardening, knitting, quilting, crocheting and cooking. She was loving, caring, understanding, generous, patient, always helpful and kind to others, insightful, reassuring and calm. Her generosity reached so many children as she provided Christmas gifts to those in group homes and crocheted over a hundred afghans for children entering foster care. She was a great gift and blessing for us all!

All are welcome to join us for the service. It will be held on July 12, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at West Park, 2350 11th St., White Bear Lake.  A walk to White Bear Lake and a reception to follow.
