After months of planning, the NOHOA 2019 Community Fair (renamed North Oaks Summer Fest) is upon us and it promises new and exciting activities for all including a beer and wine tent, a drone demonstration and food trucks. Join all the fun on Saturday, June 1, at the West Recreation Area.

The day starts at 8 a.m. with the Pleasant Lake Run. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the West Recreation Area.

The parade begins at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Raven Road and West Pleasant Lake Road and proceeds down West Pleasant Lake Road to the West Recreation Area. Line up begins at 3 p.m. Adults, drive your classic cars or get together with your neighbors to create a float for the parade. Kids, decorate your bikes or yourselves and walk/ride in the parade. Not to be left out … our Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department will participate with their vehicles.

This year’s event has games and inflatables for all, but that’s not all. There will also be face painting, and, of course, the dog show, which begins at 4:30 p.m.

We will have music! A DJ will entertain you while you enjoy all that the event has to offer.

No carnival is complete without food and we have many great choices. There will be several food trucks (BBQ, Italian and standard fair food).

You won’t want to miss this wonderful family-friendly event! So come and visit your neighbors, have some dinner, let the children run and play, and enjoy all the activities the North Oaks Summer Fest has to offer. See you there!
