The Forest Lake Police Department reported the following incidents:




Police received a driving complaint at 9:14 p.m. July 15 at the Holiday on Broadway Ave. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, a 40-year-old Forest Lake man who showed signs of intoxication. The man failed standardized field sobriety testing. He was arrested and taken to the police department, where he provided a breath sample with a result of 0.23. He was taken to Washington County Law Enforcement Center and booked for third degree DWI. 

A complainant reported reckless driving in the 200 block of 12th Street SW. at 9 p.m. July 13. When officers arrived, they learned the suspect, a 19-year-old Forest Lake man, performed a “burn out” with his truck, and ultimately crashed into the curb, causing damage to the vehicle. The suspect was acting disorderly and resisted arrest. He requested medical attention and was released to the hospital. He was issued a citation for reckless driving, obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.


At 7:24 p.m. July 13, Walmart security reported that a male and female had just pushed unpaid merchandise out through the garden side of the store. The officer was given a description of the suspects, a 34-year-old Plymouth man and 26-year-old St. Paul woman, and they were located loading the merchandise into their vehicle. The officer stopped both of them, placed them under arrest and transported them to Washington County Jail. 


The Stillwater Police Department reported the following incidents:




A 19-year-old St. Paul man was cited for driving after revocation around 2 a.m. in July 19 in the 1500 block of Driving Park Road. 


There was an accident 400 block of Chestnut Street E. at 4:45 p.m. July 15. A 29-year-old man was cited for failure to use due care and having no proof of insurance.


A 17-year-old Stillwater boy was arrested for second degree assault and domestic assault July 13 at 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Martha Street S. after he threatened his aunt with a hatchet during an argument. The aunt and other occupants of the residence fled and contacted 911. The suspect locked himself in, so officers forced entry, called him down the stairs and placed him under arrest. The suspect became combative and had to be carried to the squad. He was booked at Washington County Jail; a hatchet was recovered at the scene.


Officers were called to the scene of a custody dispute in a parking lot at the Washington County Government Center at 11:20 a.m. July 13. Officers arrived and found that it was the same parties from a previous event and ultimately determined that one of the individuals, a 20-year-old Stillwater woman, had a warrant out for her arrest from Chisago County for controlled substance crimes. She was placed under arrest for that offense. 


On July 11 around 11 a.m. a 911 call was made from the 11000 block Timber Way. A female party there was screaming that there was a man who was dead on scene. Officers were dispatched, and believed CPR was in progress. Police found two parties, both well known to police: a 33-year-old Lake Elmo man and 39-year-old Stillwater woman. Both are known drug users, and both were under the influence. She claimed the man was unconscious and not breathing; he said he had never been unconscious. They both denied being under the influence. The residence belonged to the woman's mother, who was currently on vacation. The man had been formerly trespassed from the residence, and he was informed he was not supposed to be there, and was arrested for trespassing. The woman was arrested for aiding and abetting trespassing, and both were taken to Washington County Jail where they were booked and held for bail. 




A resident in the 300 block of Owens Street N. reported that a bike was stolen the previous weekend, sometime between July 8 and 9. 


On July 10 around 11 a.m. a lawn care company was cutting grass at a business on Curve Crest Blvd. when a white male in a pickup truck drove up and stole a backpack blower off their truck. 


On July 10 around 9:30 a.m., a gas drive-off was reported in the 170 block of Greeley Street S. The gas was worth $29.41; security video was obtained and officers are investigating.





A motor vehicle accident occurred around 2:20 p.m. July 15 in the 3200 block of Millbrook Circle. A 17-year-old girl struck another man's vehicle after being distracted by friends in the vehicle.
