The Forest Lake Police Department reported the following incidents:


• Police were called to the scene of a possible physical altercation in the 900 block of 12th Street SW. at 4:19 p.m. Feb. 18. Officers made contact with a 19-year-old Forest Lake woman on scene, who would not respond to questions and became uncooperative. When officers tried to take her into custody, she resisted arrest. She was transported to Washington County Jail for obstruction of legal process and disorderly conduct. 


• Forest Lake police assisted the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department as well as several more law enforcement agencies in pursuit of a stolen vehicle in the area of the Clear Lake boat launch on Eureka Avenue N. at 11:44 p.m. Feb. 25. Officers trapped the suspect vehicle between their squads, and the suspect, a 29-year-old man with no permanent address, tried to ram the law enforcement vehicles. The suspect refused to obey commands, and eventually officers had to forcibly remove him to transport him to Washington County Jail. 


• An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the area of 11th Street SW. and 12th Street SW. at 5:10 p.m. Feb. 25 for a drivers’ license restriction. The driver, a 27-year-old St. Paul man, stated there was no insurance on the vehicle. He was arrested for having no proof of insurance and driving after revocation, and transported to jail.


• Police responded to a 911 open line call from an address on Forest Boulevard N. at 7:34 p.m. March 3. Two parties at that location reported that they were chased by a 58-year-old Forest Lake man who had a glass bottle as a weapon. They reported that he threatened to kill them as he chased them down the driveway. They also believed he was following them and hiding in the woods. Police located the man hiding in a ditch, and transported him to Washington County Jail. 


• A possible break-in was reported at Northern Tool & Equipment on 12th Street SW at 7:33 p.m. Feb 17. Police arrived and checked the area, but were unable to locate a suspect. Employees inside the business had heard a back door alarm sound, but were unsure if anything had been taken.


• Police responded to a snowmobile accident on 237th Street N. at 2:37 p.m. Feb. 25. A woman had fallen off her snowmobile and reported arm, shoulder and wrist pain. She was transported to Fairview Hospital.


• A crash with an injury was reported at 12:45 p.m. March 3 at Scandia Trail N. and Lake Street. Forest Lake police assisted State Patrol at the scene. Two vehicles were involved, and one person had been ejected from a vehicle. 


• Police responded to a vehicle accident at Home Depot at 3:13 a.m. March 3. A vehicle with major damage and a deployed airbag was abandoned in the middle of an intersection after the driver fled. The vehicle had crashed into a large sign pole, knocking it over. Officers were unable to locate the driver.
