With a 6-2-2 record over their last 10 games, the Centennial boys hockey team is set to begin the Section 5AA tournament on a upbeat note.

Centennial athletes sign up

From left, Kristen Nordby, Danika Gieske and Erick Bloom signed letters of intent to play college-level sports in a ceremony at Centennial High School Feb. 1. Nordby will play softball for the NCAA II Moorhead State University, Gieske will play soccer for the NCAA 1 North Dakota State University and Bloom will play soccer or the NCAA 1 Western Illinois University.

Cougar boys hockey falls to Crimson

CIRCLE PINES - Despite an exceptional 28-save performance from goalie Brian Anderson, the Centennial Cougars (9-9-2) boys hockey team fell to the No. 3 ranked Maple Grove Crimson (19-1-2) 3-0 Saturday afternoon.

Cougar girls hockey third in NSC

Anoka put the clamps down on a Northwest Suburban Conference girls hockey crown last week by splitting a pair of games. Centennial also split two games, and finished third in the NSC behind the Tornadoes and Elk River.
