Logan and Reed Hermann, along with Mom (Taryn) and Dad (Randy) of Ramsey, are thrilled to announce the birth of Drake McDonough Hermann.

Laurie’s School of Dance competition Sapphire and Diamond lines were invited to perform at the Capital One Bowl in Florida over New Year’s 2009.

At the state basketball tournaments that took place March 14-16, the 5th grade boys took 3rd place.

Carly Kemper of Lino Lakes, Minn., a 2003 graduate of Centennial High School, graduated in December from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in speech, language and hearing science. Carly has recently been accepted into the doctorial graduate program in audiology at the University of Minnesota.

Matt and Mary Vesel of Lino Lakes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kylene Ann to Nathan Raymond Pinkham, son of Don and Glenda Pinkham of Viroqua, Wis.

Big congratulations to the 6th grade girls B basketball team for their first-place finish in the Rochester Tournament February 16-17.  The girls were able to beat Eagan Blue 42-18, John Marshall 21-15, Redwing 27-18 and Prior Lake 22-13.  Defense was the name of the game!  

The Centennial girls 6th grade A basketball team took 1st place in the Woodbury Tournament the weekend of January 26-27, 2008.  The girls were able to beat Roseville 39-23, Chippewa Falls 40-30, Cottage Grove 29-16 and Woodbury for the championship 31-25.  It was a great accomplishment by the team.  Players include Alyssa Antl, Maria Bentson, Jasmin Bretoi, Jill Conrad, Hayley Hofmann, Janelle Mackie, Emily Namyst, Emma Robinson and Katie Werth.  Coaches Scott Antl and Shelly Namyst.  GREAT JOB COUGARS!!

Thomas Weber would like to announce the arrival of his new sister, Monica Marie Weber, born November 20, 2007, 7 lbs. 10 oz., 19 and 3/4 inches.

Congratulations to the Lino Lakes Jets 5th Grade Playoff Champions!

The Centennial SC United U12B team finished Runner-Up in the U12 Division for the 2007 National Sports Center Fall Cup Soccer Tournament held the weekend of October 12 – 14.  The team had wins over Chanhassen-Chaska 3 – 1; North Metro 9 – 2 and Lakeville 2 – 1.  In the final, they battled back to a 2 – 2 tie in the second half but ended up short losing 4 – 2 to St. Croix Valley.  The team was a joint venture with the Fridley-Heights Soccer Club and the Centennial Soccer Club.  The team consisted of 7 Centennial, 5 Fridley-Heights and 2 MN Revolution soccer players.  Special thanks to Brian Born, the coach of the Fridley-Heights players this past summer, who was responsible for managing the joint venture between the clubs.

Michael J. Conlon and Gina Marie Luberto Conlon are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14, 2007. Michael graduated from Sharon High School in Sharon, Pa. in 1972 and serves as director of safety at Metro Transit in Minneapolis.
