To the editor:

Contrary to Mr. Heidelberger’s comments in the editorial section of the Pine City Pioneer, Bill and Cindy Galbraith were not the only two people at the public hearing with complaints. In addition, we all know that in Minnesota, Minnesota Nice takes over for many, and although people have legitimate complaints, they keep it to themselves. After all, when you do exercise your democratic right to raise legitimate community concerns, you are personally called out in the local newspaper – then we wonder why people don’t voice their concerns in public? Believe me, there are many more who feel the same way we do, but have not expressed this discontent due to fear and intimidation by Heidelberger himself. Heidelberger’s true colors have come out in the most recent editorial – he is trying to bully everyone into supporting his personal goals, even though people are negatively impacted by his rodeo events, and raising legitimate concerns.
