Five candidates are pursuing four open slots on the Pine City School Board in the Nov. 8 election.

Four members will be elected to the school board for terms of four years each. The four-year terms of Tim Geisler, Bonnie Menigo, Roger Rutgers and Ilene Sommer will expire in January. Wendy Leibel, Wally Connaker, and incumbents Tim Geisler, Bonnie Menigo and Roger Rutgers will be on the ballot.

    Bonnie Menigo is one incumbent I will enthusiastically vote for. She is a small business owner with strong roots on our community. She truly has the best interest of the students at heart, and doesn't wilt in the face of strong opposition.
