Jeremiah Friday, of Rush City, graduated during fall semester 2014 from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources.
Logan Adam Wylie was born on Jan. 17, 2015 at FirstLight Health System. He weighed seven pounds, two ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long. His mother is Erica Wylie of Mora. Logan is welcomed home by siblings Lily Elise and Daisy Mae Wylie. His grandparents are Russell Wylie and Tammy Tyler.
Zander Steele McClain was born on Jan. 9, 2015 at FirstLight Health System. He weighed seven pounds, 16 ounces and was 22” inches long. His parents are Chris and Jackie McClain of Sandstone. Zander is welcomed by big brother Caden, 2-1/2 years old. His grandparents are Dan and Mary Griffith of Sandstone, and Danny and Christina McClain of Pine City.
Robert Thiry’s 90th birthday party celebration will take place Sunday, Feb. 8, 2-5:30 p.m., at the Pine City American Legion Post 51.
Pine Technical and Community College has announced its honors lists for fall 2014. Students named to the president’s list were enrolled for 12 credits and earned a 4.0 grade point average for the semester. Students on the dean’s list were enrolled for 12 credits and earned a 3.0 to 3.9 grade point average for the semester. Students of notable achievement were enrolled for 6-11 credits and earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher for the semester.
Jerry and Eunice Miller of Pine City and John and Judy Carlson of Pine City are happy to announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Shannon Miller and Danny Carlson. Shannon is employed at United Health Care as a Client Service Manager in Duluth. Danny is employed by the Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineer in Duluth. A Feb. 14 wedding is planned.
