Michael W. Wegner of Osceola also known as Michael J. ‘Donuts’ Douglas of radio fame, died suddenly April 24, 2013, at Osceola Medical Center. He was 65.

Michael was born Aug. 8, 1947, in Portsmouth, Va., to Rudy and Connie Wegner. He graduated from Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights in 1965. He served in the Minnesota National Guard and attended Brown Institute. He was well known as a radio personality in the Twin Cities, best known as part of the Knapp & Donuts morning show on KS95. On Oct. 9, 2004, he married his wife Cassie on his farm in Farmington Township. Mike enjoyed raising Percheron draft horses, was a private pilot flying his Eurofox, loved the outdoors in general, hunting, fishing and especially adored his grandsons.
