New Life Christian Community is getting a new home.

The non-denominational church, established in 2004, has been holding services in the Dresser Elementary School, but increased attendance has made owning their own building a top priority.

There's a tax-producing, commercial building that will no longer be providing to the Village. I'm glad they found a home but there is a cost to the community in lost tax revenue. Years ago the Town of Osceola built in the village for similar reasons - no loss of Town tax revenue! Everyone thought it strange the Town would build in Dresser, away from the center of the township. Not so strange when you follow the money.
