Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare announced in October that it exceeded its $10 million Capital Campaign fundraising goal, raising a total of $11.1 million in support of its St. Paul hospital expansion project. The dollars include a recent leadership gift from the Monson family of North Oaks.

In recognition of the Monson family’s generosity, Gillette’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit was officially named the David E. and Mary Jo Monson Family Pediatric Intensive Care Unit during an Oct. 22 dedication ceremony. The space is an integral part of Minnesota’s first Level I pediatric trauma center, a partnership between Gillette and Regions Hospital.
