The Bluejacket Invite has become the Sholund Invite, where the Jackets finished third out of five competing teams over the last couple weeks.
The Cambridge-Isanti boys’ basketball team lost 70-47 to a talented Minneapolis Washburn team on Feb. 14 and fell to Big Lake 65-54 in double overtime on Feb. 16.
The Cambridge-Isanti boys’ swimming and diving team has had just over two weeks since their last dual meet to prepare for the Section 7AA Meet to be held at the Northdale Middle School pool on Feb. 23-26.
The Braham Bombers clinched the Great River Conference championship with wins over their two biggest challengers and improved their record to 23-1, 15-0 in the conference.
Class AA’s #1-ranked Braham Bombers improved their overall record to 22-1, and their Great River Conference mark to 15-0, with a non-conference win against Christ Household of Faith and a conference victory over Rush City.
It was an impressive end to the 2011-12 regular schedule for the Cambridge-Isanti wrestling team at the St. Francis Triangular on Feb. 10.
It was another one-goal game for the Cambridge-Isanti boys’ hockey team as the pucksters lost to St. Michael-Albertville 4-3 on Feb. 11.
Class AA’s #1-ranked Braham Bombers continued their winning ways with Great River Conference victories over Isle and Pine City, and a non-conference triumph over powerhouse Pierz.
The Cambridge-Isanti/Mora/Pine City girls’ hockey season came to an end on Feb. 9 when Duluth beat the Jackets 8-2 in the Section quarterfinals.
