Selected incidents since our last publication

Pillage people: Police responded to a call of two males attempting to break into vehicles in the 7900 block of Highland Dr. at 2:59 a.m. on Dec. 1. Officers did not see any suspects, but followed footprints to a residence where they arrested a 17-year-old Blaine juvenile for felony theft, possession of stolen property, tampering with a motor vehicle and for fleeing on foot. An 18-year-old Lino Lakes man was arrested for misdemeanor theft, tampering with a motor vehicle and for fleeing on foot. The adult male was transported to Anoka County jail for booking. The juvenile was transported to the juvenile detention center for booking.

Four calling birds?: Washington County Sheriff’s seputies responded to a report of suspicious activity at National Recycling on Dec. 1 at 10:21 p.m. when it was reported that four males were walking around in the scrap yard. Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the property and discovered that the four males were employees working late.
